Internet Marketing
I reserve the right to speak to a group of people whom I have been working closely for the past year or two. I call them my ‘moms & dads’.
For obvious reasons these mum/dadpreneurs are very dear to my heart. I am the epitomy of this niche with 3 kids under 5 years old and with having achieved so much success on many ventures online.
Online marketing and how to balance a family is a challenge for even the best multi-tasking mumpreneur. With today’s economic slump, more and more stay at home moms and dads are stuck between a rock and hard place. They are faced with the decision of going back to work and paying daycare or staying at home and cutting coupons.
Did you know that one of the fastest growing demographics in the field of online marketing is the mommy sector? That’s right. Finally, you can have the income and the luxury of raising your own kids how you want. Life doesn’t get much better than that.
Online marketing and how to set up the plan that’s right for you includes some basic factors:
- What will your niche be?
- What are you selling? This could be product, design, or content.
- Do you have clearly defined goals?
- Do you have a realistic schedule?
- Don’t forget to be selfish and spend time on yourself. Staying healthy and sane is the best way to make the most of your time in online marketing.
After you’ve decided on what your niche is and how you plan on doing it, try joining some forums and talking to other mumpreneurs who are doing what you are. Moms are a friendly group and all too eager to help share the coping strategies of raising kids and working at home.
Set up a list of goals that are realistic with a schedule in mind. The more vague or grand your goals are, the more you set yourself up for disappointment. Try to set up a measurable goal, so you can confidently hit that milestone. As you make small steps towards online marketing, maintaining a viable business is easy and smooth!
And that advice I don’t dish out just for mums and dads that are having a go at Online Marketing. I give it to my clients as well. However big or small their companies might be.
