This is me right now

Sandra Rodrigues – Brazilian, living in the UK – Kent for the past 13 years.

Up until one year ago I was publishing my own local magazine called THE ME8 DIRECTORY with a distribution area of 8,000 going to 24,000 at the time I had to stop.

Have been researching IM for the past year  but also had a baby boy since on top of my 2 and a half year old boy and 4 and a half year girl. So trying to fit all in some how.

I am the ‘marketing person’ for my husband’s catering business and because he is moving to a bigger/better place early next year I am due to start a new campaign for him, so will have to fit that in too in the next couple of days…

I have a degree in Social Communication, a masters degree in Marketing Management and a Life degree in being a working mother of 3 very bright and demanding under 5 years old.

I have always worked in Advertising and Marketing & Sales since I was 18 years old and before that used to work with my parents in their accountancy firm in Sao Paulo.

I have a younger brother and a older sister but they both live in Sao Paulo, Brazil unfortunately. Both my parents a well and alive thank the Lord and we have a very good relationship.

I met my lovely Portuguese husband whilst working in the business he now owes and used to manage back then.  As I was getting ready to go back to sunny Brazil after leaving in England for a whole year we decided to fall in love and we’ve been together since. Awwww…

And that is me in a nut shell but you will get to know me pretty well very soon, so I won’t bother you too much right now.

Phenomenal Woman

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size But when I start to tell them, They think I'm telling lies. I say, It's in the reach of my arms The span of my hips, The stride of my step, The curl of my lips. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. I walk into a room Just as cool as you please, And to a man, The fellows stand or Fall down on their knees. Then they swarm around me, A hive of honey bees. I say, It's the fire in my eyes, And the flash of my teeth, The swing in my waist, And the joy in my feet. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. Men themselves have wondered What they see in me. They try so much But they can't touch My inner mystery. When I try to show them They say they still can't see. I say, It's in the arch of my back, The sun of my smile, The ride of my breasts, The grace of my style. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. Now you understand Just why my head's not bowed. I don't shout or jump about Or have to talk real loud. When you see me passing It ought to make you proud. I say, It's in the click of my heels, The bend of my hair, the palm of my hand, The need of my care, 'Cause I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. Dr. Maya Angelou
